Friday Kid’s Pak is a weekend food program for chronically hungry local children. Our goal is to provide these children a Friday Kid’s Pak containing single serving: breakfast, lunch and dinner items.

Ecology Summer Camp Volunteer. Teens can earn 35 hours in one week as Team Leaders for children ages 7-12 years old at our Monday-Friday day camps. Volunteers act as role models, assist in leading activities, and help with setup and cleanup each day.

Applicants should enjoy the outdoors and

expect to leave each day sweaty and dirty.

Volunteers are tasked with museum floor duties to include: exhibit & play toys pickup, playing with the children, assisting with arts & crafts, and light cleaning/disinfecting. Volunteer shifts are 4 hours normally on Saturdays/Sundays as well as school holiday breaks such as Winter/Spring Breaks.

Heartland Horses Equine Activities and Learning

Looking for volunteers!

Provides Free Equine-Assisted Riding & Interaction to significantly improve the lives of children & adults with mental, physical, or developmental challenges. 
We are always in need of dedicated volunteers age 13 & up, to help with all aspects of our programs 7 days a week, from horse care, feeding, horsemanship, tacking, grooming, facility & grounds maintenance, assisting with special events, sessions, as well as office work.
No experience necessary, as we will train you for the positions you have interest.

Teen Court is a Juvenile Diversion program run by teens for teens between the ages of 12 and 17 who have committed a crime in our County and meet certain criteria that qualify them to have their cases heard by a jury of their peers. Teen Court needs volunteers to perform the roles of prosecuting or defense attorneys, and Jurors. Court hearings are conducted on Mondays from 5-7 p.m. a few times a month. Volunteer participants must demonstrate an ability to treat each case individually with objectivity and without prejudice, the ability to communicate with people and work in a group process. Participants must be in grades 6-12 and in good academic standing. Participants are required to be law abiding citizens and agree to the Philosophy of the Teen Court Program.

Humane Society in Sebring

Needs people for a variety of tasks, including walking dogs & socializing cats.

They offer a monthly orientation.

We have volunteer opportunities working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at our Adult Day Training Facility in the subjects of music, art, exercise and much more. We also have a need for volunteers at our fundraising events including our 5K. We are familiar with the paperwork necessary for a student to receive Bright Futures volunteer credit and would love to help students complete these forms after their volunteer service.
