Evan Hutzenlaub
Lake Placid High School
My name is Evan Hutzenlaub and I am a recent graduate of Lake Placid High School. I was involved in a variety of clubs and sports. Some of the clubs I was involved in was Key Club, National Honors Society, Youth Leadership Highlands, and the Student Advisory Council for the Superintendent. I was also involved in golf my freshman year, track and field my junior year, and a member of the varsity soccer team for 4 years. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends as well as volunteering at the South Oak First Baptist Church on Wednesday nights with the Children's Ministry. I am a active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Placid. I plan on attending the University of Florida in the fall, however I have already begun two summer classes online. I plan on majoring in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology with the hopes of a career as a Physician Assistant in the field of Sports Medicine. I hope to combine my passion for sports with my dedication to helping others. I am honored to be a recipient of this prestigious scholarship and I am truly grateful to the Mason G. Smoak Foundation for believing in me.
