I’m Madison Smith and I am so honored to the be the Lake Placid High School recipient of the Mason G. Smoak Memorial Scholarship. During my time at Lake Placid High School, I was captain of the volleyball team, played on the tennis and soccer teams, served as yearbook editor, class secretary, National Honor Society vice president, class of 2026 social media manager, LPHS athletics social media creator, participated in Future Farmers of America competitions, and had the opportunity to grow through the Mason G. Smoak Foundation Youth Leadership Highlands Program. I graduated in the top ten and was a member of the Dragon Hall of Fame. In the fall, I will be attending Tallahassee State college to major in digital communication and multi media and obtain my AA. After a year at TSC I will transfer to Florida State University. I am so grateful for the many blessings the lord has given me as well as the Mason G. Smoak Foundation for thier contribution to my academics, leadership, and character.
