Claire Phypers

Lake Placid High School

My name is Claire Phypers, and I am a recent graduate of Lake Placid High School. During my time at LPHS, I was involved in several clubs including SGA, NHS, and Environmental Club. I also played various sports and served as the captain of the Varsity Girls' Basketball and Flag Football teams. When I come across free time, you can find me volunteering at the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Placid, reading a book, or drinking coffee with friends. Starting in the fall, I will be attending Southeastern University as a member of the Honors Program. During my time in college, I will be majoring in Social Work and hope to eventually get my master's degree in Counseling. My three biggest passions in life are Christ, culture, and community. I plan to get an education that intertwines these elements effectively and equips me to use what I have learned to serve in the mission field. I am beyond grateful for the Mason G. Smoak Foundation and the generosity that it shows our small community each and every day.
