I am extremely honored to be a recipient of the Mason G. Smoak Scholarship. I am very thankful for the amount of money it represents, but I am more thankful for the qualities and characteristics that are upheld by this organization. I will do my best to “Be Like Mason.” In high school I was very involved in sports. I participated in cross country, basketball, tennis, golf, and soccer. I was Vice President of National Honor Society, member of the Superintendents Consultative Committee, AVID tutor, and member of the STEM program. I was a delegate for Seminar for Tomorrow’s Leaders, a delegate for Boys State, and a member of YLH Class III. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 5.27 GPA. I will be attending Florida Gulf Coast in Management with a concentration in Sports Management.
