My name is Madi McGee and I am very thankful to be a recipient of the 2020 Mason G. Smoak Scholarship. I recently graduated from Hardee High School in the top 10% of my class and Magna Cum Laude. During high school I was actively involved in National Honor Society, Leo's Club, FFA, Alpha ZetaPi, STEM Club, and FBLA. All four years of high school I was also a Hardee Wildcat Cheerleader. I am a member of the First Baptist Church of Wauchula and was active as a student leader in "The Rock" student ministries. My leadership style is defined most by example, more seen than heard. I believe leadership is an action, not a position. I am steadfast, strong, and unwavering in whatever direction my heart leads, whether it be my faith, dreams or future. I plan to finish my AA degree at South Florida State College. Upon graduation I plan to transfer to an undecided university and obtain a bachelor's degree in Marketing MAnagement. While attending a university I plan to complete a summer internship to gain more knowledge, as well as, hands-on-experience, before pursuing my career close to Hardee County and my family.
